Conçue pour mettre en valeur la sonorité et la souplesse du saxophone alto, cette suite alterne énergie, élégance rythmique et caractère plus introspectif, offrant un répertoire riche pour le concert comme pour l'étude. La création de cette version a été portée sur scène le \u003cstrong\u003e21 mars 1996\u003c\/strong\u003e par \u003cstrong\u003eJohn Harle\u003c\/strong\u003e, référence majeure du saxophone, ce qui souligne l'intérêt musical et la portée interprétative de l'oeuvre. D'une durée d'environ \u003cstrong\u003e10 minutes\u003c\/strong\u003e, la pièce se prête particulièrement bien à un travail de style (articulation, phrasé, précision rythmique) et à la mise en place avec pianiste, grâce à une écriture qui favorise le dialogue entre les deux instruments.
